Another week closer…

This week we celebrated “Building a Better Boatwright”. We hosted a few construction town hall meetings, set a display of the plans for the first and second floors, and had items displayed from Boatwright’s past.

With every passing minute we will get closer to doing big time construction around here. It will be a summer of strange noises, compromised work areas, and a lot of progress. Come fall, things will be very different.

Even before all of this major construction starts we have been busy. Since we found out that construction was imminent we have been working to cull down our reference collection, re-think our government documents collection, and weed through our bound serials, many of which have been replaced by online versions.

The main thing we will glean from all of these renovations will be better user spaces. This is the main idea and our driving force, we want our users to be truly satisfied with the spaces in Boatwright.
